USATF Youth Outdoor Championships

AQ students place in national competition
The USA Track and Field Youth Outdoor Championships, recently held on the campus of The College at Brockport, drew more than 3,000 of the most competitive youth track and field athletes in the country ranging in age from 7-18. Among those athletes were some of Aquinas’ top male and female track and field participants.
 
Journey Dixon, Aliyah Boutte' and Aziyah Clemons were on a 4x100 relay team that placed fifth in the 13-14 year old age group.
 
In the 15-16 year old age group, Nile Colson placed first to become the national champion in the 200 meter dash. He also placed second in the 100 meter dash. Nia Matthews-Williams placed third in the long jump and fourth in the triple jump. O'omarie Diggs placed eighth in the 200 meter dash and was on the second place 4x100 relay team along with Jenai Youmas.
 
Travasia Singletary place second in the triple jump and fourth in the long jump in the 17-18 year old age group.
 
Congratulations to each of the Aquinas student-athletes who took part in this high-level competition.
