Need-Based Aid

Enrolling your child at The Aquinas Institute is an investment in his or her future. Realizing that each family has a unique set of circumstances, Aquinas makes every effort to keep tuition affordable so that every qualified student has the chance to be part of our tradition and set their future in motion.

Thanks to our generous alumni and friends of Aquinas, our $27 million endowment allows us to award 60% of Aquinas students with more than $1 million in financial aid and/or scholarships each year. The average financial aid currently given to middle school students (grades 6-8) is $2,500 and the average financial aid currently given to high school students (grades 9-12) is $3,000. Families who wish to be considered for financial aid must apply each year their son or daughter attends The Aquinas Institute.

Sibling Award

The Aquinas Institute recognizes the impact that the cost of a Catholic education can have on families with multiple children. In an effort to assist families considering Aquinas, a tuition award has been established for families with multiple students attending AQ. The award is automatically applied to the second and subsequent sibling(s) in any grade, 6–12, as follows:

  • 2nd child               $500
  • 3rd child                $1,000
  • 4th child                $1,500
  • Etc.
The sibling award will continue to be applied each year as long as a family has two or more children enrolled in either the Aquinas Middle School or High School. Families do not need to apply for financial aid to qualify.

Basilian Scholarship Award

The Basilian Scholarship Award is a four-year full-tuition scholarship awarded to an incoming freshman who exemplifies the Basilian Fathers’ values of Goodness, Discipline and Knowledge. The criteria for this scholarship are financial need, academic proficiency, participation in faith (student need not be Catholic), and demonstration of positive attitude toward Catholic education in the Basilian tradition. Aquinas will make available up to four scholarships for each incoming freshman class. To apply, please download the Basilian Scholarship Award Application or request one by contacting the Enrollment Office at (585) 254-2020, Ext. 1071.
