Ash Wednesday

Wednesday, March 4, 2022
Today marks the beginning of the Lenten Season with the celebration of Ash Wednesday. As we prepare for the celebration of Jesus’ resurrection at Easter, let us take time this Lent to focus on family, pray, fast, find the good in each other and the world, be patient, volunteer, and learn to love like Christ.

Lent offers an opportunity for us to share in prayer and to focus on one another and on our faith as Catholic Christians. There are so many opportunities for the AQ family to enrich our spiritual lives during this holy season. Please talk to your children about taking advantage of these gifts of God's grace. May this 40 day spiritual journey serve as a source of renewal of our love, faith, and service toward each other. Here are some additional resources for daily reflections and spiritual growth:

Best Lent Ever, offered by The Dynamic Catholic Institute, is a free opportunity for daily reflections and prayer that requires a sign-up, but comes directly to your email: https://www.dynamiccatholic.com/lent/best-lent-ever.html.

Daily reflections, prayers, presentations and more are also available on the Online Ministry of Creighton University. https://onlineministries.creighton.edu/Collaborativ.../Lent/
