Freshman Retreat

Aquinas freshmen took part in their annual retreat on October 5th! The class was broken up into small groups for the day engaging in discussions and activities led by faculty and staff. After each activity, groups demonstrated what they discussed through on-stage presentations in the auditorium.

Students also worked together to make different themed crafts for local organizations. Halloween cards, pumpkin centerpieces, beaded butterflies, Christmas wreaths, and cookie cutter ornaments were sent to nursing homes, welcome cards were sent to Bethany House, USA ornaments and pins were made for Honor Flight, clothespin angels were sent to the kindergarten class at Nazareth Elementary, and rosaries will be sent to developing countries. Students even planted tulip bulbs in front of the school for the spring.

At the end of the day, students shared their favorite moments from retreat and something they learned. It was great seeing our freshman class bond with each other and feel like AQ really is their family! We can't wait to see this class grow together over the next few years.
