Register for the AQ Placement Exam

Required for new students entering 6th, 7th and 9th grades

Students entering Aquinas for 6th, 7th, and 9th grades for the 2024-2025 school year are required to take a placement exam for admission. The next make-up dates are below.

Make-up Placement Exams
6th Grade
Saturday, March 23 at 8:30 a.m.
Saturday, April 20 at 8:30 a.m.

7th & 9th Grades
Saturday, March 23 at 8:00 a.m.
Saturday, April 20 at 8:00 a.m.

Students taking an exam should report to Aquinas' Student Union ten minutes early. All students will need to bring two #2 pencils. The cost of the exam is $20.

Please note, these examinations are not the only factors in determining acceptance. For more information about exam formats and additional admissions requirements, please visit www.aquinasinstitute.com/placement-exam.

As a reminder, transfer students — those who enter Aquinas in 8th, 10th or 11th grade — are not required to take placement exams. Instead, they should submit an academic letter of recommendation and look to schedule an interview with an admissions counselor.
