World Religions Class Visits Temple B'rith Kodesh and Islamic Center of Rochester

Seniors in Eric Phillips’ World Religions class took a field trip to Temple B'rith Kodesh and the Islamic Center of Rochester.

Led by Rabbi Peter Stein, senior Rabbi at Temple B'rith Kodesh; and Alma Obaji, a member of the Islamic Center; students were presented with a unique opportunity to learn about these faith communities in a hands-on way.

Encounters such as these are designed to help prepare our students to be better global citizens, work for peace, and develop an understanding and appreciation for all peoples.
