Sophomore Retreat

The Sophomore Retreat program has been revamped and a new format has been set in motion as a full day event.  Questions about our NEW SOPHOMORE RETREAT format have been answered below:

*Is this an all day event? Yes! We begin our retreat on Thursday, March 7 at school after Homeroom in the auditorium and it will end in the cafeteria at 7:00 p.m.

*What will the students be doing all day? The morning will include hearing from a panel of AQ Alumni, small group activities, and lunch at AQ. The regular lunch menu will be available to students or they can pack their own! They then leave campus to engage in service work, reflective journaling, and return to AQ to prepare for the evening program. Parents/guardians are invited to arrive at 5:30 p.m. when they will be treated to a prayer service, dinner and reflections of the day's experiences. We should be done with clean up by 7:00 p.m. at which time parents take their children home.

*I don't get out of work until 5:30 p.m., what happens if I am late? If you arrive as soon as possible, you will be fine!

*Neither of us can make it because of work obligations, what then? Please contact Linda Moll to discuss arrangements for the evening at (585) 254-2020 x1036 or lmoll@aquinainstitute.com

*Are students required to stay for the Prayer Service and Reflection Dinner? Yes. This is a vital part of their retreat. The students create every aspect of the evening program with assistance. They put this program on for their parents/guardians to communicate and celebrate their retreat experience.

*What if they are not in school on this day? Yearly school retreats are a requirement for graduation. If they have a legal excuse, an alternative experience will be provided for them
