Teen Police Academy
The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office is offering a one-week Teen Police Academy for students currently in grades 9 - 12. The program, scheduled for July 8-12 and July 22-26 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., is free to attend and is designed to give teens an introduction to law enforcement training. The training will include classroom instruction, actual role-play and rigorous physical fitness training. This is a great opportunity for students who want to work on their confidence, leadership and team building skills. This is for all students, regardless of your future career plans. Interested students are asked to stop by the AQ Counseling Center for more details. Applications are due March 8.
