Middle School Community Raises $2,000 for Honor Flight

For their last mission collection of the year, Aquinas Middle School students and faculty raised an impressive $2,000 for Honor Flight Rochester, which will sponsor four veterans on a future Honor Flight Mission.

“It is so wonderful to see our families come together to support such an amazing endeavor,” said Aquinas Middle School Director, Bryan Mooney.

Honor Flight is a not-for-profit, fully-volunteer organization that flies World War II, Korean War, Cold-War era and Vietnam War veterans from the Greater Rochester area to Washington D.C. on a two day trip, so that they may visit and reflect together at Memorials built in their honor. Donations made to Honor Flight cover all of the expenses for the veterans.
