May You Have a Blessed Easter

A prayer for the AQ family
On behalf of the Aquinas Community, thank you for all that you do.
May you have a Blessed Easter.

As the Aquinas community prepares for our Risen Lord, our Lenten reflections have been ones of love.  The entire school is filled with purple hearts that are written by each student, stating how they will make the world a better place through their Lenten actions.  Please remember our 800 students in your prayers.

Fr. Tom Rosica, CSB and Aquinas Class of 1977, wrote the following prayer for our Aquinas family.
He is currently at the Vatican—pictured here with Basilian Superior General Fr. George Smith, CSB and Pope Francis.

Stay With Us, Lord! A prayer to the Risen Lord

"Stay with us, Lord, for it is evening and the day is far spent."
Just as the two disciples prayed
on that Easter evening in Emmaus,
help me to be focused and centered on you,
my Lord, my hope and my life.
When doubt and despair fill my life,
Stay with me, Lord.
When sadness and emptiness tempt me to
believe that you are absent,
fill me with your consoling presence.
When selfishness prevents me from reaching
out to others, teach me your art of selflessness.
When anger and envy invade my mind,
let me hear your question to Peter on the shore of the Sea:
"Do you love me?"
Stay with me, Lord, and help me to remember that the royal road of the Cross
is the only way for me and for the Church.
Stay with me, Lord, along the journey,
and help me to discover you each day
in the breaking of the Word and the Bread.
Stay with us, Lord, on the journey to the New Jerusalem
where you are light, peace, and endless home. AMEN.
