Sophomores Participate in Annual Mock Interviews

120 sophomores refined critical communication skills and displayed exceptional professionalism on Friday, December 13 at the annual Sophomore Mock Interviews.

The program, coordinated by the Aquinas Counseling Center, English Department and Alumni Office, aims to counsel students on how to prepare for and present themselves at an interview.

Prior to the day, sophomores learned about resume and cover letter writing, the application process, and how to prepare for and stand out at an interview in their English classes. They were given a fictitious job to apply for, which then culminated in a live interview with an alumnus.

This year’s panel of sophomore mock interviewers included: Marissa Allen ‘04, Eric Lauricella ‘01, Brian Magee ‘05, Mike Quinlan ‘95, Nick Gambino ‘98, Marissa Gionta Manioci ‘08, Trisha Pullinzi Wise ‘85, Pete Fornarola ‘05, and Adam Sutton ‘15.

Each alumnus was responsible for providing students with feedback on professional appearance, communication skills, maturity, confidence, and motivation.
