Alumni Reunion Weekend 2025

What a weekend to remember! Our Alumni Reunion Weekend, held September 26–28, was blessed with picture-perfect fall weather—75 degrees, sunshine, and plenty of AQ spirit. Alumni from across the decades, near and far, returned to Dewey Avenue to reconnect, celebrate their class milestones, and create new memories together.

The weekend kicked off on Friday evening with exciting athletic matchups, including Girls Tennis, Volleyball, and Soccer. Alumni, families, and friends filled the stands to cheer on our student-athletes, setting the tone for a spirited weekend ahead.

Saturday morning, we welcomed alumni back for guided campus tours, bookstore shopping, and the Class Scholarship Breakfast, where donors met this year’s student recipients and heard firsthand the lasting impact of their generosity.

The Veteran’s Reception honored alumni who have served our country, while Bob Gibbons ’65 captivated an audience with stories from his book, Becoming Aquinas, the first comprehensive history of our school.

Moving outdoors, our Li’l Irish Varsity Football Team took the field at Wegmans Stadium for the Homecoming Game. With the crowd roaring and alumni from class years ending in 0 and 5 enjoying the VIP Room, AQ defeated Penfield 42–21, adding an extra layer of excitement to the celebration. Later in the day, Boys Soccer capped off the evening with a game against Corning.

The weekend concluded on Sunday with a beautiful Family Mass led by Father William Leone ’65, bringing together alumni, students, and families in gratitude and faith. Following Mass, we gathered for the 2025 Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, honoring:

  • Thomas J. Tracy ’68 – Distinguished Alumnus
  • Peter M. Guelli ’83 – Distinguished Career
  • Fred E. Strauss ’45 (posthumously) – Distinguished Career
  • James P. Brennan ’88 – Meritorious Service
  • The Affronti Family
  • Melissa Masters Urban ’96 – Athletics
  • Michael F. Riley ’61 – Athletics
  • 2001–2002 Varsity Football Teams

The celebration continued with a special Hall of Fame Brunch, where alumni, family, and friends toasted to the accomplishments and legacy of this outstanding group. A heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who made this weekend possible—and to all who joined us. We look forward to welcoming you back for Alumni Reunion Weekend 2026!
