Aquinas Welcomes Konrad Zydowicz ’13 as Head Coach of Boys Varsity Soccer

The Aquinas Institute of Rochester is proud to welcome back one of its own, Konrad Zydowicz ’13, as the new Head Coach of our Boys Varsity Soccer Team.

A standout student-athlete during his time at Aquinas, Konrad was a member of the Varsity Soccer team and served as captain in his senior year, an early reflection of the leadership and competitive spirit that continue to define him today.

Following his graduation, Konrad went on to compete at the Division I level at Niagara University, where he once again earned the role of team captain. His passion for the game carried him into the professional ranks, playing for the Rochester Lancers and currently for Roc-City Boom, an indoor semi-professional team, where he continues to lead as captain. His consistent role as a captain at every level speaks volumes about his character, leadership, and ability to motivate those around him.

In addition to his playing career, Konrad has built an impressive coaching resume. He previously served as a Varsity Girls Soccer Coach at Bishop Kearney High School, as well as Head Coach of a U12 Premier Team in Greater Binghamton and Assistant Coach for a U16 team. Beyond the field, he serves as Vice President at 585Fitness in Pittsford, NY. His passion for fitness extends into his personal life, where he trains for triathlons and completed an Ironman in Arizona in 2024.

Konrad’s return to Aquinas is especially meaningful. He embodies what it means to be Aquinas: a dedicated athlete, a strong leader, and an outstanding role model. We are confident that his energy, experience, and commitment to excellence will have a lasting impact on our student-athletes and the future of our Boys Soccer program.
