Aquinas Institute Welcomes Joseph Lynch as Head Coach of Varsity Softball

The Aquinas Institute of Rochester is pleased to announce Joseph Lynch as the new Head Coach of Varsity Softball, bringing a wealth of experience, leadership, and passion to the softball program.

Coach Lynch joins Aquinas with 18 years of coaching experience and a decade as the Founder and President of the Rochester Lightning Softball travel program. In this role, he has been instrumental in developing athletes while establishing a culture rooted in accountability, growth, and competitive excellence. His dedication to long-term player development has positively impacted countless student-athletes throughout the Greater Rochester area.

In addition to his extensive coaching background, Coach Lynch offers a strong professional foundation in leadership, operations, and community engagement. Beyond the softball field, Coach Lynch brings a wealth of leadership and organizational experience from his professional career. He currently serves as the Executive Director of the senior living community Village at Maiden Park, where he leads with a focus on operational excellence, community engagement, and resident-centered care. His career reflects a consistent commitment to mentorship, relationship-building, and high standards—qualities that strongly align with the Aquinas mission.

Coach Lynch is focused on building a varsity softball program grounded in character, competitiveness, and consistency. He is committed to representing Aquinas with integrity and creating an environment where student-athletes can grow both as players and as individuals.
