Catholic Schools Week 2026

From January 25–31, 2026, the Aquinas Institute proudly joins Catholic schools across the country in celebrating Catholic Schools Week, with the national theme “Catholic Schools: United in Faith and Community.” This special week invites us to reflect on the mission of Catholic education and the values that make Aquinas a place where faith and learning come together each day.

Jesus Christ is central to all that we do, guiding our commitment to educating the whole person in mind, body, and spirit. Catholic schools play a vital role in the Church’s mission by forming students not only for academic success, but for lives rooted in faith, character, and service.

Throughout Catholic Schools Week, our community comes together in prayer, reflection, and celebration. Students, faculty, and alumni gather for school Mass (Wednesday, January 28) on the Feast of St. Thomas Aquinas, patron saint of Catholic schools and teachers, and reflect on saints whose lives inspire our mission, including St. Martin de Porres, whose witness calls us to unity and social justice, and St. John Bosco, patron saint of schoolchildren and champion of young people.

Aquinas is proud to be rooted in the Basilian tradition, which emphasizes Goodness, Discipline, and Knowledge. We believe education is about forming young people of integrity who are critical thinkers, compassionate leaders, and active members of their communities. Faith is not confined to religion classes alone, but is woven throughout our classrooms, relationships, service opportunities, and daily life at Aquinas.

As we celebrate Catholic Schools Week, we give thanks for our students, families, faculty, staff, alumni, and supporters who bring the Aquinas mission to life. We are proud of our legacy, our vibrant Catholic culture, and our commitment to preparing students not only for college and career, but for lives of purpose, service, and faith.

We invite prospective families to explore our community, discover our mission-driven approach to education, and see firsthand what it means to be part of a school united in faith and community.
