Students attend "How Politics Really Works: An Insider's View"
On October 20, students in AP Government and Politics attended a forum at RIT entitled “How Politics Really Works.” Sponsored by RIT’s Center for Statesmanship, Law and Liberty, the forum featured a panel discussion among past and present local leaders including State Senator Rich Funke, Assemblyman Brian Kolb, former Lieutenant Governor and Mayor Bob Duffy, and former Mayor Tom Richards.

In the afternoon session, students heard presentations on statesmanship and leadership in business and government from Lee Chen, VP with Rochester Midland and Sean Sutton, Chair of Political Science at RIT.

This forum afforded students with an opportunity to connect their classroom experience with the realities of politics and the art of statesmanship.
