Aquinas' Mandi Hochheimer is in the top 10-percent of her graduating class. "I love school actually. Coming to Aquinas is a great experience. I've always been a hard worker -- I can tell my teachers have always seen that. In my classroom I like to keep up the hard work." View video coverage at WHEC.com

Mandi hopes to pursue a career in forensics -- a class she took on a whim as an elective. She will attend Robert's Wesleyan in the fall and she also plans to continue to play sports. "I played football in the yard with my dad; I was always the kid who liked sports."

Soccer came first, then track -- both indoor and outdoor. She has been a sectional champion in her events the 600 and 4x2 relay. She has also been to states. "I just love track. It's always been an inspiration tome and I felt like I've been good so I kept with it. When you're done with a race and you do good that makes you excited."

She is also excited about the next phase of her life. She is choosing to stay close to home so her 10-year-old brother and continue to watch and learn from her. "I like staying busy. I felt like if I wasn't busy, if I do sports it gives me something to look forward to."
